In the 2024/25 tournament, the top scorer award was shared by two players, both finishing with 13 goals. Raphinha enjoyed the best season of his career at Barcelona, both Champions League and La Liga. He became a key figure in Barcelona’s attack, forming one of the most dangerous partnerships in Europe alongside Lamine Yamal. Across 14 matches, his best performance came against Bayern Munich in October 2024, when he scored a hat-trick in his 100th appearance for the club. In addition to his goals, Raphinha also recorded nine assists, making him the player with the most total goal contributions in the tournament.

Serhou Guirassy also finished with 13 goals. The striker continued to show strong improvement and became Borussia Dortmund’s first-choice forward. He scored nine goals in just eight League Phase matches. Although Dortmund were eliminated by Barcelona in the quarter-finals, Guirassy still left his mark with a hat-trick in the knockout rounds, allowing him to share the top scorer title.

Just behind the top two was Harry Kane, who showed outstanding form early in the tournament. He scored four goals in Bayern Munich’s 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb, becoming the first English player to score four goals in a single Champions League match. His form dipped slightly afterward but returned strongly in the knockout rounds, where he scored four goals in four matches. Next was Robert Lewandowski, who scored 11 goals in 13 matches. During the season, he reached the milestone of 100 Champions League goals, becoming only the third player to achieve this feat. Despite being 36 years old, he remained a key figure in attack, focusing on intelligent movement inside the penalty area and benefiting from strong support on the wings to maximize his finishing ability.

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martínez followed with nine goals. He became Inter’s top scorer in Champions League history and equaled the club’s record for most goals in a single Champions League season. Throughout the campaign, he maintained an excellent partnership with Marcus Thuram, combining smart movement with consistent finishing. He also recorded one of the best goal-per-minute ratios in the tournament and played a major role in Inter’s run to the final.

The only player from the Champions League-winning squad to appear on the list was Ousmane Dembélé, who also went on to win the Ballon d’Or that year. While his goal total was lower than others, many of his goals were decisive, including key strikes against Liverpool in the round of 16 and Arsenal in the semi-finals. Under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique, Dembélé was used in more central attacking positions, increasing his  opportunities and effectiveness.

Sharing eight goals with Dembélé was Vinícius Júnior. Although Real Madrid failed to defend their title, he still produced several standout performances, highlighted by a second-half hat-trick against Borussia Dortmund in the League Phase. Beyond scoring, he also contributed significantly to the team’s overall play, leading the tournament in successful dribbles and dangerous chances created.

Rounding out the list was Erling Haaland, also with eight goals. Despite Manchester City’s early elimination in the first knockout round, he maintained an impressive scoring rate of nearly one goal per match. His highlight of the season was an overhead kick in the 5-0 victory against Sparta Prague in the League Phase, a goal that was later voted as one of the best of the season.
